Regardless of your skin color, or really most any factors of the situation, it's intellectually dishonest to assume police in a mass force would graciously welcome the help of uncoordinated civilian vigilantes hours after they've set up a perimeter; let alone a guy who fits the description of who they're looking for at a time when intelligence is flowing in at an unimaginable rate.

There's a time limit on the non-police "good guy with a gun" message.
