In reply to the discussion: Tulsi Gabbard for DNC Chair NOW (edit) [View all]Lancero
(3,257 posts)Considering that the DNC decided to put up Donna Brazile as intrim head for the first time despite her political experience amounting to assisting Democratic presidential campaigns and heading Gores failed campaign, and time as a vice chair it's VERY hard to argue that she was experienced when she was first made intrim chair.
The only time she assisted with a campaign that actually won was with Bill, and this was in an advisory position. Heading a campaign, well see above.
Still, Tulsi's time in congress is closer to 5 years - 02-04, then 13-16. She dropped her run after her term in 04 for a military deployment, and served as aide to Senator Akaka upon returning from 06-09, before another deployment.
Still though, you didn't bother looking up the history on ANY chair before claimed 'she'd be the least experienced in history'. Just a quick glance through the names turns up quite a few who were made chair with less experience.
