Are we living in THAT alternative universe? [View all]

I get the feeling that any moment, the folks from "Sliders" are going to walk in and say something like "This is the world if JFK was killed in Dallas/RFK was killed in California/Nixon won re-election/Carter lost the 80 election/Bush won the 2000 election..."

And his cohorts shudder, thinking about the implications of those events...
