17. Are you calling Assange a hero?

If so, I disagree totally. He and Wikileaks could have been helpful, had they not allied themselves with Russian intelligence email hackers. Like Trump, they seem to believe that Putin is a better leader than Obama. All humans have flaws, but I reject Putin's agenda. Russia is a wonderful country, but it is presently saddled with a Soviet-style authoritarian who intends to resurrect the old Soviet empire. That is not good for us, not good for Europe, and, in the end, not good for Russia.

Trump has no legitimacy, and half of his supporters are "deplorable," by any standard. I do not like what Assange has made of himself, but I do not think he or any other person should be bothered by praise or blame issuing from deplorables. What morons believe or do not believe about anyone should be regarded with complete indifference.

The only questions to ask any "non-deplorable" (some rationality left) Trump supporter from now on is (1) "How much federal tax have you paid for the last twenty years?" and (2) "How much federal tax has Donald Trump paid for the last twenty years?"
