(114,647 posts)but that mob is a distinct minority and the ones that aren't bone lazy are a minority within that minority. I think the local bars will become the main foci of political action--loud, drunken threats and boasting. Very few of these fools will try to get anything organized. Most will continue to be hardest on friends, casual acquaintances and family, as usual.
The sad thing is that Trumpy thinks he controls that mob. He doesn't. Oh, he can whip them into a frothing frenzy. He just won't be able to command them once he does. Once he's popped their hinges loose, they're beyond reason, beyond direction. All they can do is try to hit back at any perceived enemy. A policeman's lot will be an especially unhappy one.
The one compensation is that Trumpy's the kind of new money that usually dies broke.
Future historians will shake their heads in disbelief that the stodgy, stolid Republicans ran this asshole.
