(11,463 posts)131. Voted 7 days ago, in Minnesota - straight Dem. ticket except the "non-partisan" judges
and school board members. On the partisan ones, I voted for the incumbents in all but one case. Even when the incumbent judge was unchallenged (except, as always, by a "write-in: ______", as everyone is). I was taught to vote for the incumbent because sometimes some whackos organize a write-in campaign, and the likelihood is much greater that they are right-wing whackos than from the left... I did my research previously by looking at my ballot online to check out all the races where there was competition.
