10. Union workers in states where closed shops are possible

usually feel they were forced to join a union in order to get a job and resent the dues coming out of the paycheck. Don't expect much solidarity with other unions.

They don't seem to get the point until they get close to retirement time or until the bosses do something monumentally stupid to remind them that the union is there because the bosses are bastards.

Me? I've had union jobs and non union jobs and union jobs are better.
