(173 posts)Given any problems getting a formal statewide recount, individual citizens might be able to count ballots. As Optical Scan machines read a ballot, they capture an anonymous image of it.
Use a notarized FOIA request to election officials demanding the images. The response could be cooperation, outright denial (for true reasons or not) and/or dragging it out, so if possible, go in person, taking at least two brand-new, still-wrapped flash drives to download the files. Count the votes & place into a spreadsheet for tracking.
