(52,103 posts)Both candidates had high negatives in their polling numbers. But, in Clinton's case we were aware that the right had made it their mission to fight the Clintons. Of course we were aware of typical dirty trick strategies and typical mudslinging. We just never expected that 1) A foreign nation would hack emails to provide fodder to the right; 2) That the information that Russia was involved in the hacking would be kept from the public by a partisan decision from Mitch McConnell; 3) That the FBI would help tip the scales with the suggestion of an investigation; 4) That the right would lie like their entire existence depended on fooling the undecideds; or 5) That there would be so much evidence of election tampering.
But, all these extraneous factors are the reason why we need to come together to demand justice.
Frankly, I think she did far better than I expected--nationwide.
