(60,179 posts)The German electronic media, unlike their print media, does not often provide English (or any other) translations for its programs, even when they do archive them. Yesterday, I had to work down in Bavaria, and so did not hear the story. It was on the ZDF, which is one of the two national TV stations, on Monday morning.

*My wife also noted that our two daughters, one living in New York, one in Frankfurt, don't even read newspapers. They get everything they know from the internet. Case in point--I got the same fake post about the childhood of Thomas Edison from my dentist in Dallas and a Hillary Hater in the north. They both believed it lock, stock and barrel, although a quick look in Snopes would have disproved it in ten seconds.
