The only good purpose of Ron Paul IMOP is to wreck havoc on the circus called the GOP. But beyond that, the man is seriously scary. Weirdest thing is seeing people that I would normally describe as smart independent thinkers who are somehow mesmerized in believing Ron Paul is the answer. Mostly because he has previously stated his opposition to the wars when no one else would, taking on the Fed Reserve etc. But one friend of mine in particular who home schools, seems to think Ron Paul's plans for dismantling the Dept of Education and leaving it to the states is "brilliant". WTF? Yeah, lets just dismantle our public education system and leave it to the broke states. Then we can really be assured that the dumbing down of America & illiteracy is complete.

Anyway, I hope on the DU soon we can have a good posting/listing with all the beliefs & positions that Ron Paul has (and direct references & links), because if Ron Paul is either able to make it as the GOP nominee (wont happen) but more likely run as an independent, then there are some independents & democrats that have been drinking the Ron Paul Kool-Aid that need some serious facts provided to them by us.
