...became the go to expletive for our 2 sons, and I got rather used to it.
Of late, it is mine, as well. Nothing else seems to fit. I sometimes augment it with, "goddamned, son-of-a-bitching, mother... blanking" when I need the "ing" form. I mostly use it when I am alone, and amm. hoping I don't slip up and let it fly in polite company.
At 65, I am resisting calling myself old, but I am definitely grumpy.
