funny--"I just tell the truth about them and they think it's hell."

And FDR said that he welcomed the hatred of the opposition.

They were tough when tough was needed in politics. (And, yes, I am well aware that they both did some awful things--i.e., Japanese internment under FDR & ignoring the Holocaust; the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But they did know how to take the fight to the Republicans.)
