have four years of embarrassment, questionable adherence to party lines, soaring national debt, media investigations into russian connections, an unpopular mostly unvetted president they'll be hard pressed to defend daily, stupid midnight tweets, conflict of interest financial stories, sex scandals, cabinets run by unqualified billionaires, a CIA that has been publicly discounted, and a president whose inner circle knows he can't do the job. No chance of normal WH behavior. A possible panic wave election against the gop in 2018.

On the other hand, the gop could choose a much less volatile Pence / Ryan administration and rely on normal, tried-and-true media dysfunction to convince the public they are acting in their best interests.

Wonder how much the SCOTUS nomination will affect this choice? Wonder if the dems are smart enough to be negotiating behind the scenes with the goprs and exacting a price for backing the gop? I bet there's a LOT of discussion going on.
