(21,088 posts)This needs to be an absolutely air-tight case. It is is the biggest thing that's happened to America at least since WWII, and the bag needs to be sewed up very tight. Going after a President is hunting very big game indeed. Leaks could jeopardize that and even allow guilty parties to wriggle free. If that recognition is why possible leakers have gone to radio silence, then I'm all for it. This is a case with serious global repercussions - the future of the world is obviously hanging in the balance.
Let's hope we're seeing a duck here: above the water nothing appears to be happening, while under the surface they're paddling like hell. I frankly can't imagine them doing anything else. I'd bet that out of public view Washington is boiling like a wasp nest that's been poked with a big stick.
