But the news media is so very deep in trump's pockets.
We heard the guy talking dozens of times about sexually assaulting women and teenage girls and the news media put, at best, a half-hearted effort into covering it. He said it was ok to call his own daughter a "hot piece of ass" and barely a blip. I've sat and watched as even news host I respect like Chris Hayes, would sit there silent and let trump surrogates monologue without challenge for 5 or more minutes and then thank them and move on. He Never turned over his tax returns. First in modern times, doesn't even give a shit. During all this time there was a incident in which they left the main screen up on an empty podium that trump would eventually be at, for almost 30 minutes while Sanders was live at a event with over 20,000 people. An empty podium with trump's name on it. An empty podium!

As far as I'm concerned the news media cares about controversy and ratings...one big reality TV show.
