(62,325 posts)nuts to their upfront work for them. People like:
Hannity ~ he has a serious problem with anyone pointing out facts to him, and will even walk off a show when his idealogy is challenged. There is something very wrong with someone who cannot bear to have his world view proven wrong with indisputable facts. He descends to the level of a spoiled two year old throwing a temper tantrum. Don't know if there is a name for his condition, but it's not exactly normal.
Savage/Weiner ~ Anyone who has listened to him for more than five minutes, if they cared about him, would try to get him some help, although that may have been tried already.
Limbaugh ~ Drug addict, liar, used to be somewhat amusing, but now is just so far gone, I guess whatever the diagnosis is, it has be degenerative.
Fox/Murdoch ~ An entire network, with few exceptions who actually believe that there is no obligation for a news organization to tell the truth. Pathological seems to fit.
Breitbart & Co ~ Off the wall without a semblance of integrity or sanity, ranting, raving, lying, bigots. I'm sure there is a name for whatever ails them also.
O'Keefe ~ A perfect stooge for the far right, willing to do anything for money and 'fame' or 'infamy'. Definitely exhibits signs of serious personality disorder.
In fact it's hard to find one of their spokespersons who doesn't exhibit serious signs of some kind of psychological disorder.
Those behind the scenes seek out these kind of people. They put them out front, use them to rouse up the masses, while they remain in the background, anonymous. To hire sane people would not achieve their goals, sane people would question what they were doing. But the MO of almost all members of the Rightwing Noise Machine is to create and hate 'the other' and to be willing to spread it around and to fuel irrational anger by instilling fear in those listening.
I doubt those pulling the strings believe much of what their stooges spew over the airwaves, but it works for them. And assuming they are not insane themselves, that makes them even worse imho.
The whole 'movement' is insane but there are many ordinary people who are not, but who do have certain fears that are exploited by the propaganda machine.
