The government didn't shut him down, he wasn't arrested, he just can't find a team that needs him bad enough to take on his baggage. Owners pay attention to large groups of people booing.

His right to protest is the same freedom that gives the teams the right to respond to his protest.

It's just a fact that some people are going to support Democrats and some are going to support Republicans.

I prefer celebrities keep politics separate from performing. when I go to a concert or sporting event - I don't want to lectured about politics, saving the seals, or why I should be driving a Prius. I go to be entertained, not preached to.

Unless Elway had permission from the owner, the endorsement should not have come from the team. If the owner was okay with it - people can factor that in their decision to buy, or not buy, tickets to the games.
