But in his case, he may have figured that he might be able to walk away from going to jail by cooperating with investigators, but when he's out among 'em and unprotected, he knows what can happen to him. Like that "special" spiked tea, perhaps? He may just assume prison would keep him safe, but you never know about that, either.

I would bet, though, that he IS weighing his options at this point. And I think the swagger we've seen lately is an attempt at a bluff to throw critics off his case. Talk tough enough, or sound sure enough, and maybe they'll just drop it?
