Forget that we know surveillance occurs all the time. Nunes went further and said it pertained to Dolt45's bogus wire-tapping claim. The argument can be made that this was at best an improper release of classified information to the public at large.

I don't recall specifics but agencies have tried to use this line against leakers in the past: that simply disclosing the broad outlines of an operation is improper.
