I hadn't even thought of that until then because it's kind of hard to keep track of how many states are in the majority of repub control.

The Kochs and the well funded organizations of the religious right knew how to fix their problem. Until dumpy, the presidency was not an easy gain. So work from the bottom up and that has been far more successful. They have their influence in everything - city councils, zoning boards, school boards, state senators and reps.

You can be sure they know how close they are. The midterms are going to flooded with money and lies. Here in Colorado, 2018 elects a new governor. Because we're a swing state, they'll be coming for this governorship, I'm sure.
