Jesus was an observant Jew as were his followers. It was the self-described "Apostle" Paul who co-opted his Judaism sect and transformed it to something completely different to fit his own agenda and line his own pockets.

There's really nothing more Christian than using the veil of faith for your own selfish purposes. As such they are the epitome of Christianity.
