7. I first learned of such things when I was about 10

because there was a TV series. It still haunts me to this day. I think
my parents who had lived through WWII as Americans were interested
in reviewing the horror at a distance of time and space, but should have
shielded me from the series. Where were the Catholic censors on the
subject of violence on TV and children.

At what age do you think horrors such as these are appropriate for kids?
