Meh...yeah, there were Dem presidents when we were drawn into the conflicts. Thing was, of course, that we would have eventually been drawn in anyway. Perhaps not WWI, because the Germans were on the verge of winning when the Americans finally showed up. They still may not have, but it was closer than many want to admit.

In WWII, given Japanese expansionism, we'd have been forced to fight back in the Pacific. Since Hitler declared war on us, we were drawn into the European war probably a year earlier than we might have been. There was quite a bit of anathema to another European war in America at the time.
