Hitler rose to power because of widespread unemployment. Without the Great Depression, Hitler would never have become as popular as he did and would never have attained any significant amount of power. WWII would not have happened if not for the Great Depression.

Republican policies caused the Great Depression, so they are directly responsible for Hitler, WWII, the Holocaust, and the deaths of 60 million people.
