Today: Married to this beach walker for 43 years today!

22. I rarely post, but this OP made me log in. :-)

For starters, DemoTex, I LOVE your photographs. I'm always green with envy, and wanting to be in all the places where you take your fantastic photos.

Then you tell us about 43 years of marriage. That is something to celebrate in today's world. My parents made it just shy of 66 years, and if not for their deaths, they would still be going strong.

My Dad had a business that ended up being a family business. So we all worked there, including my Mom. But they still had time away from each other. Add to that the fact that my Dad was a workaholic. We thought he'd be dead six months after retirement, as he wouldn't know what to do with himself. My Mom thought he'd be following her around all day long.
But he found this silly game where you hit a ball and chase it for hours on end, trying to hit it into a tiny hole many yards down a fairway. And my Mom finally had time to discover the artistic side of herself.

So keep enjoying the years together. And when you truly are living in the same place 24/7, remember this. HOBBIES.
