(22,976 posts)Whether he does it cynically or is delusional, "The #45 Show" is in full swing. If you have the slightest bit of a functional, analytical, critical mind, you see through the whole act and can sense the major bullshit.
But his supporters lack that capacity, and they see a savior of a magnitude somewhere between country music star and televangelist. It's a total grift, but #45 just happens to be stuck in Delusion City: He's the greatest, most incredible, most successful, savviest, clairvoyant president to ever walk the planet. No wall? They don't care! The fact he cloaked himself in a reactionary, anti-globalist persona is all they care about. They have afforded him cult-leader status. He can do no wrong. I'd be very surprised if any Republicans turn against #45; at least not for another 2 years.
