8. Republicans own this mess

Nearly all of them voted for him for President and continue to enable him. Everything that happens while they are not holding him as accountable as they held President Obama during the last 8 years is just as much their responsibility as it is Trump's. I had hoped that maybe John McCain and/or Lindsey Graham would be a little more skeptical and fight Trump more but their "resistance" to Trump seems to have lasted about all of five seconds before they just went right back to going along with the GOP leadership in the Senate. I will consider us all seriously lucky if we manage to make it through the next 4 years without any serious national emergency- forced or unforced- that requires intelligent and capable leadership.
