If you look at the factors that need to be in place for a functioning fascist government, the US is already there from an institutional/financial POV. The social aspects are catching up. Soon there WILL be violence and extreme civil unrest, as well as the stripping away of civil rights. That's the last part of the takeover of fascism. Everything else is in place.
