(43,850 posts)11. There are an awful to of preachers who are themselves.
I won't say they're all lying about the existence of a deity and its rules for living; I really think most of them believe in what they espouse. But the willful deception of congregants in all religions is so frequent as to be fodder for all kinds of reportage and fiction.
And frankly Huckabee strikes me as the kind of "preacher" who finds the profession politically useful, not spiritually fulfilling. Why shouldn't she be the same?
