(2,146 posts)is they are blinded by their ideology. AKA head up ass sickness. They believe in their "moral principles", with not a single thought given to questioning them or the side effects. Like some religions, they believe things they are told to believe in, without question. And when you point out how their so called moral principles actually work in real life, they will flat refuse to listen to you. They can't be reasoned with and they will only learn the hard way, and in the process of learning the hard way, cause a lot of misery to other people.
Note this is why the GOP went after the religious vote - those people are trained sheep.
I hate to generalize but I've dealt with way too many of this type in my life, and I quit trying to reason with them - it's a waste of time, until the day comes when they open their eyes a little bit and start to ask a few questions themselves. They are set in their ways and only they themselves can change themselves. And yes, they will spout all kinds of garbage / craziness trying to prove they are right...
