14. 18 U S code section 1001

Lying to a government agency is a crime punishable by up to 5 years in prison under the above referenced Federal statute. This is the same statute under which Martha Stewart went to jail. Scooter Libby was convicted under this statute (subsequently his sentence was commuted by George W). The point is that this a serious problem for Flynn, quite apart from all the other charges he may face.
