it's a sick but self-perpetuating worldview, they've successfully eliminated threats to their worldview but dismissing other news sources and even facts themselves as presented by anyone other than themselves.

i'm at a loss as to how to reach these people at this stage. any challenge and you're immediately branded an enemy.

i used to advocate laughing in their face, and i think that could have worked 10 years ago, but no longer. not even ridicule will work.
