(3,818 posts)There are usually plenty of jobs at airports from working on the ramp to pushing people to and fro in wheelchairs (they earn good money in tips too). Probably not what you want to do but some of the jobs pay reasonably well and at least it's a job until you find something better. TSA is almost always hiring at the airport where I work and they pay fairly well. A lot of airlines are hiring now too for summer work but if you get your foot in the door, you can get hired permanently, especially if you are willing to relocate (airlines hire engineers too). For various airlines, just google airline name plus employment which will bring you right to their career/application areas. Good luck, pm me if you want more info. JetBlue is one airline that doesn't age discriminate. In my class last year there were several people hired in their '50s and one guy was even 70.
