As a common citizen, what I would like to see done about this Russian scandal? [View all]
First of all, I would like for Chuck Shumer and Mitch McConnell to come together and realize that we have a crisis on our hands. We cannot afford to be so divided at this time in our history.
In my opinion, they should create an independent, bi-partisan commission to look at all the players in this scandal. Nero fiddled while Rome burned. They should act with the utmost urgency.
Our country is in a much deeper crisis than the political leaders in Washington seem to realize. We are on the verge of losing our democracy. It is much closer than anyone can imagine.
The political leaders in Washington are under the illusion that they have the power to control this situation. They do not. The rug can be pulled from under them at any moment. Our democracy is much more fragile than they believe.
As a common citizen, I want the politicians to work together to get to the truth. I want it done as quickly as possible. I want the "fake news" shoved off the table and let the facts and evidence speak for themselves.
