does this also have something to do with post modernism - where there are facts, the person says words, the words are easily understood, words that are reasonable, but a false narrative is weaved out of what they said and deemed to be the "truth"? This trend of "journalism" in certain quarters is worrying to me. I'm mindful journalism was never perfect but still.. Sirota's angle is like creating "truth" from his own conjecture.
