In reply to the discussion: Hillary has earned the right to say whatever she damn well pleases about the 2016 election, Russia [View all]karynnj
(61,074 posts)26. In the US, EVERYONE has that right - including Hillary Clinton
Of course, everyone has the right to listen or not listen, to accept or not accept, to publicly agree or not agree. Each element of the media has the right to cover or not cover what she says -- and if they opt to cover it, they very likely will critique it, which is their right.
I seriously do not get the sudden extreme defense of letting HRC speak, when from what I could see, when she chooses to speak, she is her speeches and interviews are abundantly covered. Not to mention, I am very tired with the repeated claim that past nominees who lost in both parties were all treated much much better. Seriously, how many speeches and interviews of Mitt Romney were covered by seemingly all news channels?

We have to have her back. Every time she speaks out, in any venue, there is an outcry of "Shut Up!"

Pay attention to the news. Many on the left and the right say she should just go away and be quiet.
