four years at a time. Since our safeguard against installing a populist lunatic--the EC--failed, no nation can possibly trust us not to elect another one just like him.

This is something I hope the GOP is waking up to, the damage he does will be mostly international, piled on top of the damage Stupid did. Here, it's mostly fatheads in red hats looking for fights. Overseas, it's a tremendous loss of trust and prestige.
