I would guess that for him it's a spectator sports cheerleader, female, of course, in a letter sweater and a tiny skirt. He's narrow minded and ignorant.
Rachel Maddow is beautiful. She isn't what some might call "girly", and there isn't a damned thing wrong with that no matter if she's gay, straight or anything else. And she is a cheerleader. The first definition.
