I wrote a silly post this morning that got a lot of recs.

But it's just silly. Here's one that counts (no not one of mine!), about a man beaten to death by the Army of the 1% because... well, seemingly because he was a nuisance. I ask you to read and consider rec-ing it:

Because you're next. There's nobody in power interested in protecting you.

We've all read Martin Niemöller's words:

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

These words aren't mere history - they are also our destiny, unless we act quickly and decisively.
