Personal favors might be requested, in addition to paying back loans. Like, say, lessening sanctions, which would return billions of dollars to Putin personally? Or sending federal contracts down Saudi Arabia way? Or, in prior years, agreeing to have his lackies launder a bit of money? It's a possibility.
