59. Any fonts/keyboard layouts that make em and en dashes possible?

As a (former) typographer, being forced to use double hyphens drives me nuts. Tblue's great article was written quite awhile ago, so I'm wondering if there's been a solution to this problem since. (I don't know how to put DU links in. Hail, I don't really know how to insert any links... Copy them before starting a reply?)

Showing my age here, I used to have a program that allowed me to use WordStar to code stuff, then convert the file to play out on Compugraphics equipment.

I had a dream a year or so ago in which I was explaining the difference between em and en dashes. Haven't been a typographer since the late '80s.
