That is very admirable that you believe that. But I think it is naive. I'm sure when Newt was making his list of words to describe Democrats and Liberals, he did not think every Democrat or every liberal was "pathetic and disgusting". It was a propaganda war and they won. They are still waging that war. In this environment, I don't see either Party coming to the table to discuss the issues in a rational and adult manner anytime soon. They would impeach Barack Obama tomorrow if they could. They would destroy SS, Medicare, SS Disability, food stamps, and whatever program that they consider "Democratic" tomorrow, if they could. Yes, they are a threat to our survival. I think we should fight them with everything at our disposal, short of violence. If we can ridicule them, depress them, discourage them, demoralize them, then that is fair game.
