10. I live in San Diego and only have a small AC floor unit in my bedroom.

I put off my daytime chores/cooking to do at night when it would be cooler than the 99 degrees we had all day. It only dropped to 84 at 10:00 PM and as I did my cooking the temp went to 84 by midnight and 86 by 2:30 AM. I thought my thermometer was too close to the kitchen and that was the reason for the strange error. But then I looked up Weather Underground and I said, "Holy Shit! It is NOT me" and it was all over the area, even at the beach where my family lives. The past 5 years have been the hottest I have experienced since living here for over 30 years.
