It's written from the perspective of a young woman whose family has been labeled with those epithets . Plus it's probably at least forty years old. I'm sure the poster meant no disrespect, even if some would find the attempt at humor in questionable taste. Your assumption was unfair to the poster. Learning IS a beautiful thing..Leaping in without all the facts is a poor habit that needs to be UNlearned.
