(5,272 posts)us not addressing certain things in our politics, the popularity of monsters like donald trump were going to be inevitable while we continued to let the cancer fester in the shadows. They advocated for a very serious virus that would get us on the examining table, or rather, they advocated against the pain killers that might prevent us from recognizing the symptoms until too late.
There is no question that that might be a mistake. And for those who think everything has been getting incrementally better overall-I am not one of those even though I couldn't support this radical therapy-it must certainly look like insanity or contemptible. I just think there is room to allow for their motives being genuine, even if you disagree with their assessment of the sickness, or their prescription.
