make you far left, or even suggest you necessarily lean progressive. That they were pro Ryan actually suggests that they hardly know where they themselves are on the spectrum. That or they made really bad assumptions when they bought into him as a challenger. It seems odd as fuck to me though that people would jump to the conclusion that any challenger is a good challenger, without actually sitting down and looking at that person's record.
Either way, they certainly don't offer the kind of legitimacy to the claim I was looking for, which would require them to be actual left-leaning talking heads, politicians or activists.
