In reply to the discussion: I am LMAO at the people who wanted Nancy Pelosi to go. [View all]Steven Maurer
(510 posts)38. I generally agree, I'm pretty far left myself. Just realistically so.
I canvass, so I can't fool myself about how ready the public is for a lot of progressive proposals.
I spent a ton of time working on Oregon's Measure 97 only to watch it go down.
I knew it was in trouble when I was having to persuade Democrats.
But the people I'm talking about all call themselves "far-left", though they never actually do much to advance it. Seems more like an excuse to look down on people, mostly.
Still, there are enough of them, and I won't tell them they're not what they say they are. Mostly I just try to ignore them.

Tim Ryan made his own move. That is hardly the kind of challenge lefties wanted to put forward.

really? Who supported him on the far left? You could easily refute my claim. Maybe I missed it.

Yep. She (and Schumer) have come out as being more effective than Ryan and McConnell.

Serious question, what were those? What did I miss? Oh, the debt ceiling and hurricane relief.

Agreed! It also shows just how wrong those who ripped on Dianne Feinstein...
