Sometimes I think DU needs a Valium app just to get through the typical news day. It seems every news story these days sets off a flurry of streamed teary-eyed posts that Obama isn't a clone of Dennis Kucinich or that "he promised" he'd be the most liberal president in history, "and now my heart is forever broken".

Bullshit. The only place I ever heard he was a wild eyed liberal was on Sean Hannity's radio show, and unlike others here, I strongly suspected he was lying. Compared to anyone else who wants that crappy thankless job next year, Obama is about as far left as they get, and promising to vote against him or stay home next November is akin to saying "I sure wish the country would move a little further to the right so I can do a lot more complaining".

Before anyone dares to ignorantly say there's no difference between Obama and the Republicans at large:
