15. Then how do you explain all the other players who protested and still have jobs?

The problem with Kaepernick as a backup quarterback is that his play style due to not being able to read a defense and not having the patience to read through his progressions means you have to set your offense up around him. That's not what you want to do with a backup. Tim Tebow and Robert Griffin played in a similar fashion and neither of them are in the NFL.

Why would the Dolphins who have Adam Gase as their head coach go with Kaepernick when they could get Cutler who has already played reasonably well in Gase's system and in theory have their long term quarterback and just want a fill-in for this season? Why would they sign a guy who would make them greatly limit their offense, changing it in the middle of the preseason?

But like most conspiracy theories, evidence that goes against it will be ignored.

A team like Seattle would have been a far more likely landing place for Kaepernick given how Wilson plays, and they didn't want him either. Given how prominent several Seattle players like Richard Sherman and Michael Bennett have been in protesting, it's laughable to claim they didn't sign him because of the protests.

The simplest solution is that Kaepernick just isn't that good.
